Murder = 3 years in prison

Just read on CNN the following:

A U.S. soldier has been sentenced to three years in prison, forfeiture of all pay and a dishonorable discharge after he pleaded guilty to the killing of a severely wounded Iraqi civilian, the U.S. military said in a statement.

What the hell are they thinking? 3 years in prison for cold blooded murder? That is really too long man... maybe 3 months would have been fair, afterall, the guy would prolly grow up to be a suicide bomber anyway....

WAKE UP YOU BLOODY IDIOTS!

That is ridiculous. How on God's green earth are u supposed to get the respect and trust of others when u hand out such light punishments for such heinous crimes? A robber in Singapore gets a heavier sentence! No wonder they want no part of the international court that can try criminals. Bet people like Rumsfeld must have trembled at the thought of standing in the dock next to Saddam Hussein-like people. Even grunts might end up getting sentences commensurable with their crime! *gasp* Unthinkable for the US!

I think it's high time the US walks the talk and punishes their own people according to the standards they *try* to hold others by.

Let's see, the "insurgents" in Falluja killed and strung up a bunch of contractors and so the US went through the place with a sword to find the perpetrators and "bring them to justice". Okie dokes, let's see the "insurgents" blast their way through US bases in iraq to bring the torturers and murderers to justice too then!

Just love it too when Bush says that the US will fight with determination, bravery Calls the terrorist leaders cowardly for hitting civilians and hiding etc... hmmm... let's see, who is the cowardly one who is hiding 10000 miles away? And on the rare occasion that he flies over to the theatre, lands on an aircraft carrier and declares victory, then has a whirlwind tour and jets off ASAP? Who is the one shooting at just about anything and everything that moves just in case they are car bombs? Right right... self preservation... well, self preservation WAS not going there at all! But now that you're there, u can jolly well clean the bloody mess up. And if you don't all the better, perhaps the mess will follow you home and you can fight with the same justifications of self defense the Iraqi "insurgents" are using now.

Ok.... i'm done with my anti US spiel... sure i don't understand everything but stuff it. I reckon the US leadership's hypocrisy is enough to make anyone disgusted.
