The Glutton in Me

Is gluttony really a sin? If it were, put me down for it. Went out with a couple of friends on saturday. For some reason, we ended up in a supermarket and there were all these munchies. Ended up getting two humongous bags of Lay's BBQ chips, which i had no hope of finishing. Also, 2 boxes of chocolate chip with yogurt muesli bars. Well, at least the latter are semi healthy.

For dinner, we went to Penang Food in Flushing (a suburb in Queens) and we really over ordered. At first, the discussion was on whether we should order dishes or individual portions. 3 peeps ordering dishes; we couldn't possibly order too many dishes so decided that we would order individually. But when the time came, we decided to do both :)~~

We had:
3 roti pratas, which i still find weird having some latin guy cooking it instead of some greasy indian of malay guy

chendol :) Yes we can get good chendol here, even if it costs US$2

Yam basket thing, which was pretty good. Haven't had that here before.

1/2 Hainanese chook

A big platter of char kuey teow for me, friends had their own noodley things.

Suffice to say, we ended up leaving half our individual portions behind. It may sound like we made a weak effort but the portions here are pretty darn big. Meant to be enough for some of the giant ang mohs so i reckon we did pretty well.

Feeling almost drunk from food, we managed to stumble into a chinese supermarket. Where we got a package of gum. The kind that comes in packages of 4 ball bearing like pieaces in squarish boxes. Most of you reading this should know what i mean.

As long as i'm here, the US economy can only grow.
